I am wondering if anyone has had this problem:
The front top shock mounting bracket was broken away from the frame on my 69 Convertible when I bought it.
The metal bracket is normally welded to the frame; mine was totally missing. Is there a replacement part that could be welded back to the frame?
I attached a similar metal bracket to hook up the shock, but I prefer to get the original piece to have the exact height and width.
I do not know where the part could be found other than cutting it off of an old frame.

I’ve got a 67 subframe with a hurt crossmember that I cut the snubber mounts off from. Let me know what side and email me a picture if you can. There might be enough left to salvage the part you need. rlaa@gvtc.com

I'll bet you might get lucky enough to find a suitable replacement in the junk yard, from a Nova, Olds Omega, Buick Appolo.
