Here is the deal. I am looking to build a 350 to put in a 85 monte ss until i can find a camaro or chevelle that i can drop the engine in. I have decided to have the short block built by a machine shop instead of risking screwing it up myself. Does anyone know of a good reputable machine shop on the south side of chicago or near chicago? The car has a 200r4 trans and it works fine but i want to build a 350 + Hp engine and I figured the trans would need to be rebuilt soon after so i am going to do it all at once, so does anyone know of a trans shop that would build the 200r4 to with stand constant abuse of a hi-po 350? Does anyone know how much it would be to build the trans?
thanks guys
Tom
