ok guys, heres the deal, my neighbor's ford tor@$$ needed new breaks. he tried to adjust that self adjusting screw so that the drum could slide off, ofcourse he turned the screww the wrong way and now the drum is seased to the breaks. now he wants to put the good'ol heat wrench to the drum, i think thats a bad idea, how else can we go about this without causing a major brake fluid fire, thanks

Simply use another tool to push back the adjuster lever, and turn it the other way.

If you wanna help youre "friend" out help him buy a "CHEVY", those ford tor@$$ are a pile of junk...I know, my shop is filled with em.....

well we tried pushingback the lever and turning the adjusting nut, it wouldnt budge. and i did tell him to get a new car, he drove home a hundai accent, whatta d!ck. thanks though
