Can anyone tell me if the front subframe is bolted to the rear subframe on a 68 Camaro? Some people tell me it is welded but in some pictures it appears that there is a bolt and some type of bushing holding the front to the rear.
Thanks Dan

The front and rear subframes are separate. A good mod is to weld in subframe connectors, tying the front to the rear. I like solid subframe bushings and have the Global West aluminum ones. Their del-a-lum control arm bushings are top quality, too.

Just make sure before welding subframe connectors, it would be worth it to take to a frame shop and have them measure and straighten the body on a frame machine before welding it up. Of course, after bushings have been replaced, solid or not.
