i bought all new brake lines for my 69. when i try to put it on, it seems as though the right front line is a little short. it dsoesnt reach the rubber flex hose. the brackets are in the side of the front sub frame but the hard line ends on the top part of the frame. here is a pic of one of the TC members frame with the bracket on top. i hope its ok with him if i post it. if not, let me know and i will take it down. (nice pics by the way)

anyway, which one is correct? the one for the side or the one for the top?

Both of my brake line brackets are on the outer side of the frame - I believe that both front rubber lines should be the same - I'll check mine and let ya know- anyone else?

i have the same as dennis but the hard line i bought dont reach that far on the passenger side. the hard line only goes to the top of the frame rail like for the one pictured like clicks. in classic, i dont see any other part numbers for different lengths of hard lines. so, the hard line itself is about 3 inches short. i can post a pic later tonight.
thanks

I was under the impression there was different lines for disc and drum and the drum terminated on top of teh frame rail and the disc terminated on the side. My pic is too small to see but there is a bracket on the top where the 2 lines seperate and then the one rolls over to the bracket on the side where it meets the hose.
In Jim's pic it looks like the side rail bracket was there at one time...

As far as I know, 67-68 disc and 67-69 drum all end on the side of the frame, but the 69 disc was as Click pictured.
The use of 69-72 Abody calipers and hoses utilizes the drum tube and bracket.

If it helps any, mine is a drum setup on a '67, and the brackets are on the side. I may decide to move mine on top if I have a clearance issue with the wheels/tires.
I had it backwards, in the '69 AIM (rpo J52 Disc Brake Front) it shows the hose from the caliper going to a bracket on the top of the frame rail where it meets up with the hard line. It show std in the front of the book like the one in pic I provided...
