One can use a press, very easy. What I used was an assistant to hold up the other end of the spring. Large bench vise, 6", opened up just 1/16 inch larger than the bushing. A section of 1/8 inch wall steel tubing, and a large BFH, 3#. Took about four swings.

Used a caliper hone to smooth out the spring eye, lubed the eye and the bushing, reinstalled the same route, except used a softer swing.

How you doing Angel? I used a BFH with a BF drift punch. Alot of hammering, they came out in big pieces, but, they came out. Did the same as others. Honed the spring to clean it up, a little lithium grease, drive the new ones home.

thanks guys. i thought that is what i would have to do. anyway codi, im still doing the pits. workman's comp denied anymore cotizone shots. why? i dont know. i will have to go check. this all happened yesterday right before i was to do my follow up with my neurosurgeon(sp?) so, since there was no improvement nor shots since the last time i saw him, he just said, "i will do you no good to come in for your appt. since there were no treatments since the last visit." oh well. life goes on and so does the battle with workman's comp.
