I'm a Nova owner and they suggested I post on this board. You guys have more members than us and might have more experience on this topic. Have a 70 Nova with disc brakes and under the car by the cross member is a metering valve. Has 2 lines and made of brass. Any luck finding these?? new or repro's. Saw a few 71's and they don't have one so my guess is they are incorporated in the proportioning valve. Not sure for the 68's or 69's.
Sprung a leak with this one and most of the threads came out with it also........
Thanks in advance.

The valve you are talking about is not currently reproduced. I suspect it will be eventually. There are no moving parts I am aware of, so you shouldn't have an issue with them wearing out.
GM's use of these valves was sporadic on the 67-69 Camaros. Some got them, others didn't. Current thinking it that cars optioned with auto trannys and A/C got them because they tended to be nose heavy. However, valves have shown up on non AC cars as well.
If you can't find a good used one, you might try replacing the valve with a brass adapter fitting from a parts store. I really don't think you would find much difference in braking performance.

The valve was finally explained in a Nov '69 Dealer Service Bulletin. In a disc/drum system it limits pressure to the rear brakes. Drums need about 1/2 the PSI generated by a disc master and will lock up unless regulated. There are no adjustments possible.
I'm sure one of the aftermarket braking system vendors would have some kind of replacement.
