I have a 69 RS/SS 350 that I bought five years ago. It came with an open element air cleaner on it and I was wondering if this is correct. I have heard that only big block cars had open element air cleaners

JP, The SS350 received the cowl air cleaner with a cowl hood or the regular closed air cleaner with a SS hood. Only Z/28 and BB cars received the open element.

I wish they came with them too! There is still a debate on if it came with a chrome lid, but the no chrome is leading.

Where about's do you hail from in NJ?, there are quite a few NJers on the board. Are you going to any NJ shows coming up?

Thanks for the heads up. I'm from north Jersey around Little Fall, Totowa, Wayne area.

As far as what shows I'm going to I'm going to the East Coast Camaro gathering in Vineland, NJ on June 3rd without the car. I still have to paint the SS stripes and put the front side marker lights emblems and door handles before I start showing the car.

If you know of any other shows let me know when and where they are.
