is there a motor+trans mount that is stronger i'll be installing a fairly strong 350 in my 69 is poly the way to go or is there a better rubber mount out there

Energy Suspension poly is definetly the way to go! Their stuff has an interlocking design which is basically bullet proof.

I used the energy suspension unit with good results although it is a bit thick i had to modify it so my headers wouldnt hit my floorpan, i took of about an 1/8 " off the tranny mount
