Hey, can i use the spindles,rotors,calipers,backing plates off of a 78 z-28 on a 68 camaro that has disc brakes now, i do not want to buy rebuilt 4 piston calipers like the ones i have now, and i have a front subframe from a 78 z-28 in my shed, if so is there any problems with doing this, thanks in advance

Nope, not with a first gen subframe! Any '68 to '72 Chevelle, '68 to '74 Nova (and clones) or First Gen Camaro/ Firebird spindles/ backing plates/ rotors/ calipers will work. Steering arms need to be from a Camaro/Nova to fit properly. Possibly some full size cars (Monte Carlo and Cutlass for example) spindles etc. -not steering arms-from the late '60's or early '70's might also work.

If you modify and install the '78 Camaro subframe you have then it's spidles etc. will work just fine.

why don't you want the 4 piston calipers? you can get good reman calipers for pretty cheap, i think, and they usually have stainless sleeves in them, so they won't rust up.

Well, 150 bucks apeice i don't call cheap, on the other hand if i have to i want to do a baer brake set-up,but my car has been apart for 1.5 years so i figured to get it on the road this spring i would just buy a 69 camaro set-up or nova etc, as the calipers are like 35-40 bucks, then next winter or when ever i can do baer brakes, thanks alot, i did not think they would work
