Just got my 67 camaro and whoever had previously replaced the A-arm bushings didn't do it right because one bolt had worked itself completely out and the other bolt was out far enough I could hand tighten it. Anyway, I want to replace the bushing that fell out but the metal sleeve that the polyurethane bushing slides into is still stuck into the hole of the A-arm and I can't seem to get it out or even get it to move for that matter. Is there any trick to getting it out without having to take it off the car? Thanks guys, this forum rocks!

I had some uretahne bushings squirt out on me not long ago.The control arm shaft bolts are notorious for backing out with poly bushings. The metal sleeves are pressed into the control arm, they shouldn't move. What I did was get the weight off the wheel, loosened the cross shaft ( the bolts that secure the alignment shims ) and then I was able to center the cross shaft in the pressed sleeve and muscle beach the bushings back in their hole. It worked for me , but , everything was new ,lubricated, and the bushings belonged in those sleeves. I'm not sure if all bushings are the same, but I suspect they are close enough that you may have luck installing the rubber or urethane bushing in your liner from another set for the same application. I don't know if you can do it in the car, but an air chisel works wonders for getting bushings out. I was surprised how well it got mine out a year ago.
