Are AGR power steering pumps and steering boxes worth it? I'm using a Z/28 power box now and was lookng at a friends car with a AGR and I liked the way it goes from lock to lock in 21/2 turns. How are their power steering pumps? My car is going full touring so I'm wondering if its worth it?
Thanks,
Mike

They are good and worth it.
Your 69 box if factory stock, should have a variable ratio box and should be near 2.5 turns if you have the long pitman arm and short outer steering arms.

The AGR will have a stiffer valve which makes the steering less twitchy and has good feel.
The AGR pump will be the same as what you have now, but may have the pressure boosted and the outlet restrictor drilled out for more flow.

I have info on how to modify your pump to achieve this.

I have PS info on my page below.

Thanks David, I will do the box but skip and modify my pump as per your web site instructions.
Thanks again!,
