Does anyone know if my 69 manual steering box will bolt up to a 72 model camaro? I have a guy who needs a manual box, but we are not sure if this will work.
Thanks!
Bob

It should. I used a '75 Firebird PS box when I converted my '72 Nova & it bolted to the frame & column OK. I did use the rag joint that came with the '75 box, and I had to change the pitman arm, because the shafts on the PS & manual boxes are not the same size.

The 1969 manual steering gear will bolt right up to the frame of later model Camaros. There might be one slight problem. Sometime around 1969 GM changed the input shaft on manual gears. The early models had what is known as a "full round" input shaft.

Later model gears had a flat on the input shaft. The flexible coupling must have a corresponding flat in order to attach correctly to the later model gear.
