Hi guys. I am looking for some suggestions for replacing my 5 leaf repo rear springs that came from National parts depo. The ride height is too high and much to stiff for proper weight transfer. I really don't want to go to a mono setup as sometimes i do have rear passengers and don't want to be dragging the pipes. Any suggestions of brand and setup would be appreciated. This is on my 68 camaro.

Have you tried a 'search' of some of the great past posts about this?

I don't know how this suggestion will affect your new spring's rate but you might try taking off the smallest leaf and see what happens. and then maybe the next leaf?? Or maybe the second and then the forth leaf's???
I have done just the opposite by starting with JCWhitney's '68 NOVA, three leaf, mono replacements and added the second and third leaves from my worn out stock, '68 F/B, 5-leaf springs so that mine are better matched rate-wise to my about 500/525 pound front coils.
But my rear is too high now so I'm gonna have to do some thinking on it...
FWIW, I installed the extra leaves at the second and forth positions...

Thanx for the replies guys, much appreciated!
I think i am going with pdq67's suggestion and remove a couple of leaves first. Maybe it will help and better yet won't cost a thing. That will make the little honey happy ,as she thinks i have spent too much already!
