Hello everyone,
I'm building my own sub for my camaro, and i want to incorporate Sweet power streering intot he assembly, except i'm a little uncertain on exactly what parts i need for the assembly, other then the ovious.

Is a "servo kit" required with the streering assembly, or is this part already incorporated into the assembly??

Sorry, i'm unfamiliar with power streering rack and pinions.

for those helping, this is the assembly: Sweet Power steering (http://www.secureperformanceorder.com/afcostore/getproduct.cfm?CategoryID=8&ClassID=255&SubclassID=1252&ProductID=4163)
Thanks!

I believe the servo kit is the actual steering valve that goes in the steering column. It is the same valve that is at the top of the stock steering boxes. The cylinder on the rack pictured is just a simple double ended ram, so you need a servo to control it.

A production PS rack would have the servo built in.

there is another style rack that looks to have the servo built in, i think i'll use that style instead.
thanks!

I used an Appleton power rack on my tube-frame Grand Sport - all it needs is a pump and plumbing; used a Cavalier/S-10 mini-pump, aluminum remote reservoir, and Aeroquip lines (use the special "blue" high-pressure hose for the high-pressure side). Had to mount the pump on the front of the L.H. head (Moroso sprint-car bracket) due to lack of pulley clearance to the frame in the usual location; worked great!

thanks John,
BTW that is one cool car.
Good to hear this stuff works good, i plan on using it instead of the common and out-dated mustang II equipment.
