Hi guys need assistance.I have a 67 w/power drums all around.Looking to rebuild power booster because master cylinder is leaking on it corroding it.Also want to rebuilt master because I think it might be original.TWO questions here. 1.Is master cylinder original?Has bleeder screws,# is 5460465 with code on front of BS.2.Is booster original? It had Delco Moraine upside down on on passenger side of booster.A couple of rebuilders told me 67 did not have the deco moraine stamp. Also, the brake pedal inside the car is about 3" closer to the floorboard than the clutch.I was told should be almost even with clutch.Could this be an indication of improper master cylinder.Would appreciate input.I'ts my winter project. Thanks Paul

Also I forgot to mention brake pedal is very touchy (stops quickly)Maybe another sign of incorrect master?

FWIW, a P/B car should have the brake pedal pushrod in the bottom hole on the brake pedal lever so look under your dash up real high and tight and see if it is in the right hole.

The whole P/B assembly should be using the bottom firewall studs too..

Next, a P/B M/C has a shallow hole in the M/C piston, (doesn't it David??), so that will tell if you have a P/B M/C on your car.

As for the touchy brakes thing, it's a vacuum deal if not mistaken...

Sorry I'm not of more help.......

Manual master cyls have the deep hole for sure.
I think most boosters have the short pushrod and use the shallow hole in the mster cyl but there are some long ones.

A touchy pedal might happen if there is slack between the booster pushrod and master cyl, or if the master cyl is a manual (smaller 1") bore instead of the 1 1/8" power master cyl. Leaking of the vaccum seal between the MC and booster can cause problems too.
