I am bleeding my brakes with vacuum assist to do it by myself. It seems like it is taking forever to get the fluid and bubbles out, am I maybe not opening the bleeder caps enough? the vacuum bleeds down very slowly and doesnt pull alot of fluid.

I have used a this system for a long time and it takes a little while but it's worth the time and not messy. It sounds like you will need to crack them open a little more. keep an eye on your fluid level in the master.

Start out by doing the RR first then the LR then the RF then the LF, this is the same patter you would follow bleeding brakes wiht a friend helping you. If you have taken the brake line apart or have done major work it might take a little time to get fluid to come out. Just take your time. One thing you can do it when the vacume starts going down is instead of closing the bleeder and pumping up the vacume is to just start pumping the vacume with the bleeder open until you get fluid, then close it. Check your bleeder resivior and the master to make sure you don't need to fill one and empty the other. Do not reuse the brake fluid from the bleeding, it had air in it. It also might have other contaminates.

hope this helps

It's slow. Remove the bleeder and clean the fluid holes in it, sometimes that helps. Put teflon tape on the threads to stop air from sucking in past it that way.

Remove the bleeder screw and coat the b/screw threads with grease and reinstall.
