Does anybody know the size on the rotors for a 94 z28? I ordered some and recieved them today. Thing is the rears are 1/2" taller than the front making them 11 1/2" tall x 3/4" thick (rear) and 11" x 1 1/4" thick (front). Are these right. It's hard to measure my stock ones being that they are on the car. I was able to measure the face on one side of them and it looks to me like they are the same size all around. Will it make a difference on the new rears being 1/2" taller. It seems to me the caliper might be able to hold the extra 1/4".

i thought the 93 and newer Z28's all got similar 12" front brakes to a base Corvette? it isn't that hard to pull a rotor off and ccompare it- hell, you are gonna do it anyways. if it's right- throw it on. if it's wrong, take them back and get the right parts.

A quick technical note. Even if the rotors fit within the caliper, the fact that the caliper and pads are not increased in size to accomdate the rotor surface, you have made zero braking improvement. The pads are still going to grab the same potor surface that they did before. The only thing that you will accomplish is to increase the rotating weight.

The F-body didn't get a 12" rotor until 1998.

Before that it was 11".

If you get the brakes from an LS1 car you will have 12" rotors on all 4 corners. But you'll need the spindles off the same car for the reason outlined by 69x11ss above. You need to move the caliper out to take advantage of the bigger rotor. The LS1 spindle has the built into it for the 12" rotor.

Front is 11 inchs and the rears are 11.5. Just installed powerslot rotors front and rear on my 96RS and those are the correct sizes.
