I have a '67 Camaro with mono-leaf springs. What exactly do I have to have to convert over to multi-leafs? I am trying to purchase a 12 bolt posi rear-end and I want to convert to multi leave springs.

make sure the 12 bolt has the correct multileaf spring perches then basically just bolt the springs in. I just did a similar conversion with no problems other than that the new springs lifted my rear a little more than I would have liked.

Does anyone have pictures of the multi leaf perches?

They look pretty much the same except that they are deeper. They is a pic in the new Rick's First Gen Camaro catalog.

Please run the big u-bolts to hold your rear in place and you shouldn't have any problems.

Get four, two per side and if you want to strengthen your rear run a bead around the perches and weld straps from the front and back at an angle up to the tube. Its a pretty straight forward re-inforcement procedure. pdq67

Back again, you will probably have to trim the rubber/poly pads at their turned up edges to get multi's to fit because they are 2.5" wide and the mono's are 2.25" wide. Been there, done that!! pdq67

What about the shock plates?? On page 59 of Rick's Catalog, 10 & 12 bolt shock plates are shown. I currently have the 10 bolt in the car and a 12 bolt waiting in the wings. I'm gathering a list of all other parts needed to put the 12 bolt in the car. Do I need to use the 12 bolt shock plates, or can the 10 bolt shock plates be used? Thanks.

Howard, if your use the 10 bolt plates, you need to drill a hole for the lower centering bolt and pad cup. I used 12 bolt plates. I also took some square tube stock to fill the gap between plate and mount. I also used 4 U bolts through the whole mess. Kevin
