OK,
2 stupid questions but check out the picture
of the the 96 camaro rotor (same as c4 right?) on my 68 axle. (Warning, before clicking its 1.2meg I don't have access to photoshop right now to reduce it).

rotor picture (http://66.105.94.135/rotor.jpg)

There is so much space around the studs, I am almost thinking that when installed and the brakes are applied it might slice the studs since there is so much play. I know people have done this conversion but I am not sure what to think.

Also, anyone do this conversion on a NON c-clip axle? it looks like I have to put the brake bracket between the bearing and the axle end which means I have to press on & off the bearing. Is this the case?

Thanks in advance!

On non C-clip axles you will need to remove the bearings and install new ones with the brackets put on first. On 68-9 cars you need to use two RH brackets from your donor car because of the staggered shock arrangement.

I don't remember the holes being that loose, but mine are 1/2" diameter. I don't think it will be a problem since the GM studs on a 4th gen are the same size.

When you apply torque to the wheelnuts you will create friction between the surfaces. That friction is the force that keeps everthing together, it is not the bolts!

You will not have the problem of the disc moving unless the bolts get loose, but then you will have other more severe problem instead.
