I have a 69 RS with a set of '80's 15" aluminum 5-star camaro rims. I was wandering what I should torque the lugnuts to? Any comments are appreciated! Thanks

Hope this helps Toolin' Aug 16th, 99, 10:17 AM Steel Wheels from 78 an up are supposed to be torqued to 80 ft lbs. Dave Birdwell Aug 16th, 99, 01:00 PM The aluminum wheels should be torqued to 100 lbs.-ft. One note- the newer aluminum wheels have a different angle on the cone where the lug nut seats. To be sure you will not have any problems with the wheel pulling through the old nut, or coming loose, it is recommended that you change to the newer metric lug stud and nuts. |
