Hi, I have a 67 Camaro I just purchased. It currently has p215/75 -R14 tires on it. I want to put something larger on it. I have 14 x 6 rally rims on it. Can anyone tell me what would be a good size tire to run without making any body modifications and avoid any rubbing? Thanks

I have just installed 17x8" & 17x9.5" rims with 4.5" & 5.5" back spacing. I used p275/40/17 & p245/45/17 bfg z rated tires and OH MY GOD this car will handle!! I used a hotchkins 1 1/8" swaybar & 2" lowering springs as well as 2" lowering block for rear and absolutely no rubbing at all front or rear. this is all on a 67 Camaro.

Where did you get the lowering springs and blocks? Is the ride very poor with it lowered that much?

Hey Mike.. I got the springs, blocks and swaybar from summit racing. The ride is firm but not harsh and I am still able to use my Cal-Trac traction bars. The 17" tires do a really great job of softening the ride. The springs have a greater springrate but it still works great.
