I am looking at 15x7 American Racing Rims and I would like to measure back spacing.
I want to install them on my 1968 camaro.
What is normal spacing for the camaro?

The most backspacing you will probably want to use is 4.5 in the rear, but that may be to much in the front and you may want to go with 4" in the front, but others may have different personnal experience.

Although I haven't done so with American Racing Wheels but I have with others is to call them directly. A very knowledgeable tech rep can make your day.

As a reference the year one sells rallys with the same outer dimensions you are looking for with backspacings of 4 1/2. pg 396

15x8's you can use 4 or 4.5" b.s. , and a 275/60/15 is the biggest that will fit by the way....good luck http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif

If you use 275/60/15 rear tires, you must use 4.5" b.s. or they will rub on outside of the fenders.

I am thinking of installing 16x8 front and rear and if I go with 275/60/16 how much clearance will I have? Is it better to go with something smaller 245/50/16? I am looking for handling most of all.
