Hey, I'm thinking about seeing how much money I can waste on my car by buying some ultra high performance tires. Anybody have any they really like? I was thinking about the BFG Comp TA ZR1's or their V rated all season ultra high performance tire. Any feedback would be appreciated. Steve Laabs

The BFs are an excellent tire. I've had them on a couple of Corvettes. Them give good traction on dry pavement and are excellent in the rain. But if you want an excellent Z rated tire that is an excellent buy Check out Pep boys Z rated tires A set of 22545zr17s fronts and 27540zr17 for the rear are just $519. I know people frown on Pep boys but the tire is made by Cooper tires, it has a good tread design, and what the hay what are we gonna do anyway smoke them off so save a few hundred and don't feel guilty about smoking them tires.

I just had BFG Comp TA VR4 put on my wifes car. Cornering is not spectacular, but straight line traction is way better than anything else we've had, I just wish they made a 275 60 15 in the VR4 since their regular TA's traction leaves alot to be desired.

Guys, I ended up buying some 225/60R15 Dunlop SP5000's. Got 'em mounted on the Corvette Ralley's today. The car turns corners pretty good on those sticky ($64) tires. They fit good. I could've gone bigger, but so far they're great. BTW they're "W" rated all seasons. Steve Laabs
