Anyone else got these under the rear of their 69? What about 265/50/15s up front?

I think 295's are going to rub, unless you've got some serious air shocks to jack up the car. The 265's up front are probably a little too wide also, I think 235 would be the widest you could go up front, that's what I run on mine. 255/60/15 rear, 235/60/15 front, you can see pics at: http://www.geocities.com/kz1000ltd/

They are on the car and don't rub. Look for the links to the camaro on my home page. Yes the rear wheel well lips are rolled.

Ace- How the He## did you get the 265's up front without rubbing?

I've got Cooper Cobra 245/60's in the front of my 69 and they just barely kiss the frame rail at full stop. My suspension is all new, and I've got 15x8 Rallyes.

Jeff, I saw your car also, looks pretty cool!
I still can't believe those 265's don't rub on the front, but I'll take your word for it.
Have you done any serious cornering with it?
What kind of springs/shocks do you run?
Could it possibly be the brand of tire? I'd almost bet my left arm that 265's would rub on the front of 9 out of 10 first generation Camaros.....KZ

I have only had the tires on the car for about 75 miles. I have slung through a couple of 30mph corners and it stays pretty flat. It does have a huge front sway bar. So far the only rub was at slow speed in the driveway (uneven gravel) with the wheel at full travel left or right. Thanks for the compliments. Notice the pic is taken so you can't see the sunroof(due to be removed when car is painted in the future). L8R

What kind of backspacing are you running in the front and rear?

I have 295/50/R15 tires on my car. It has spacers as well. This was the setup when I got the car. When I get these tires burned off, I might get smaller tires and lose the spacers. When I got the car, it had 215/70/R15 on the front and they rubbed. I had to go to 215/65/R15.
