DOUG G Jul 11th, 00, 10:50 AM i have a '68 and used a set of a buddies(28/10.5/15)and was very tight.all i can say is measure twice, buy once.good luck.i can say is that a 275/60/15 looks very nice though. ------------------ My68Camaro (http://hometown.aol.com/dougs68camaro/index.html)This CamaroNet - the Webring for the 1st Generation Chevrolet Camaro site . DOUG G Jul 12th, 00, 11:42 AM I was talking tires, a 10"rim is not possible(with a stock wheel well) unless it sticks out in the breeze, and looks dumber than Sh*t. ------------------ My68Camaro (http://hometown.aol.com/dougs68camaro/index.html)This CamaroNet - the Webring for the 1st Generation Chevrolet Camaro site . There's 11-3/4" in there to play with. If the '67 is anywhere close then a 10" should obviously fit just fine, assuming the wheel baskspacing generally centers the tire in the opening. I HAVE NEW 5 LEAF SPRINGS AND ONLY HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE OUTER EDGE OF THE TIRE SCRAPING ON ANGLED DRIVEWAYS. THE DRIVERS SIDE SITS 1 AND A HALF INCHES LOWER. THE RIMS HAVE A 5 INCH OFFSET. THE LOWER SHOCK MOUNT HAD TO BE CUT AND I HAD TO DRILL A NEW HOLE APPROXIMATELY 1 INCH ABOVE THE OLD ONE. I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM WITH CUTTING TIRES EVEN WHEN LAUNCHING AT THE TRACK. I RUN A 454 AND NEED ALL THE TRACTION I CAN GET. THE 275/60R15'S I TOOK OFF DID NOTHING FOR MY TIMES. THE 67 APPEARS TO HAVE MORE ROOM DUE TO THE HIGHER ARCHED WHEELWELLS. I HOPE THIS CAN HELP YOU IN YOUR EFFORTS IN PUTTING 10 INCH RIMS ON YOUR CAR |
