I bought some weld-pro star mags and i ordered 3 1/2 backspacing on all four mags.i either want to run a 255 or 275/60/15 on the rears. Should i have ordered 4 1/2 for the rears. i havent mounted any tires on the rims yet.i could still send them back. could someone please help me? i would appreciate it.

What width are they? If they are 8" you will have a deep dish and will likely run into problems clearing the outer fender unless the car is jacked up with air shocks.

They are 15x8's,so should i go with the 4 1/2 backspacing.I am going to use air shocks.i am just going to put enough air so they will not rub. I dont care for the look where the tire extends out past the fender wall.

Yes, go with 4.5 BS. 3.5 BS will RUB with 275/60-15 tires.

what about with 255/60/15's? Would they rub with 3 1/2 inch backspacing?
