My wipers go up and down through the whole range of wiping but when I shut them off the don't rest at the bottom. They go part way up maybe 6 inches. Its irratating and blocks my view. Anyone else have this problem?
2nd can I make my wipers speed change like modern cars with intermitten wiping. Is it the switch or the motor that I have to change?

You can get a intermittant wiper setup thru JCWhitneys. Napa even used to sell them but I dont know if they still do or not. As far as the wipers not stopping in the right place, there is a switch inside the motor assembly that is supposed to stop the wipers at the bottom...I dont know if there is any adjustment in there or not though.

This may sound simple, don't drive it in the rain http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif. The only time my 69 sees water is when I wash it.

You need a new or rebuilt wiper motor; the park function is controlled by a series of switches and cams inside the motor gearbox.

Have you recently changed the wiper motor or has it always done this? When I changed the wiper motor on my 69, I didn't have the wipers all the way in the park position, so when I bolted the wiper mechanism to the motor, it recognized the park position(due to the switching in the motor) as half way up. I had to unbolt the motor and reposition my wipers, put it all back together and it worked fine.

Mine have a similar problem. They stop wherever they are when I turn off the wipers. They don't return to their resting position when turned off. The only way to get them down is to turn them off when they are at the end of their down sweep.

I don't know about the 67's, but my 68 motor didn't work, so I drilled out the crimps (as directed in the service manual)and repaired a broken wire. Also had to do some work on the park cam and contact (the copper contact arm had bent). On my motor there are 2 marks on the housing 90 deg apart, and there is a mark on the arm that connects to the oscillating arms driving the wipers. These marks must be lined up properly. When I first put it back together, my wipers stopped in the middle of the window. I checked and found that I had misalligned the arm by 90 degrees. Don't know if this is your problem, but I would check it before buying a motor.
