I am looking for any ideas or suggestions on tire sizes. I have ordered some 17/7 Tourq Thrust IIs with a 4 1/2 bachspacing for the front. The rears are 17/8 with 4 5/8 backspacing. This combo will go on a 69 Z/28 that is all original with only 34,000 original miles. I dont want any tire that will rub or reqire modification to fit. I get tired of being competely stock all the time.Everyones comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I'd go with 235/45 front and 255/40 rear.

I have the same wheels/same size on my '69. I'm running BFG Comp T/As - 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. No rubbing or interference and my car is lowered a good 2". Check the car out at my site below.
