Alright I got 15x8 rally's with 215/65/r15 on all fours and the fronts scrape my fenders pretty bad when I turn since I replaced the front coils.

What size tire would I need or should I just go with a 15x7?

If I do go with a 15x7 what size tire would I need so I don't scrape em?

Also what the heck is backspacing.

I've got 15x7's Ralleys, 4 1/2 backspacing, with 235/60/15's on the front. New BB coils springs and shocks, no hint of rubbing. This has been discussed before at length, and I believe the consensus was the 235 would be the widest that would fit on the front without rubbing. If you have any doubts, the 225's will fit for sure......KZ

The 15X8's have a 4" backspace, that is why the outside of the tires rub on turn in. A 15X7 with 4.5" B.S. is what you need.

So is backspacing how tall the tire is?

Backspacing is measured from the inside wheel hub (where your wheel bolt on) to the backside wheel lip. A 4.5" backspace will be set further into the wheelwell than a 4" backspace. A 15X8" wheel with 4" BS will actually stick out 1" further than a 15X7 with 4.5" BS. (1/2" for wheel width and 1/2" for BS)
