I want to put torque thrustIIs 17x wide (?)
what ever is the widest with something like 275x40x17 or 295x40x17 in back I was thinking of using a product like compitetion
engineerings offset spring hangers to move the spring inward and then a 5.5" backspace to get them inward has anyone done this how does it work and what about my tire rim size also what fits a 67 in the front I was thinking 16x7 or 8 with something like 235x40
x16 I am up for suggestions on my sizes hate to spend $2000 and not like it

I am running 16x7 with 225 rubber up front and have no problems at all. You could probably go with the 235. In the rear, I imagine that with the spring relocation you could go 275 or 295. I am running 255 in back with a stock rear suspension on 16x8 rims with 4.5'' backspacing. If you are going to go wider though you might have to start thinking about the fenderwells too more than the suspension components.

Bruce,

Go to www.pro-touring.com (http://www.pro-touring.com)
Check out the cars section and the take a look at Stielow's new ride. I do think it says that he mini tubbed the rear to get those meats in there.
Also talk to teetoe-jones or david pozzi here on this sight they have alot of good info.
