I have a 69 Camaro RS that is a cruiser as well as a weekend warrior and I have the origional 15x8 rally wheels. I want to get a set of slicks but don't know what size to buy, that will fit in the wheel wells. Any one know ???

Check your wheel size. Origional is not 15x8 and if you bought 15" slicks and you really have 14" wheels you won't be happy! The Z/28 is the only car that came with 15" wheels If my memory is correct. The Z would have 15x6 or 15x7 (not sure) and all other 1st gens got 14".
I'm not 100% but the point is they get switched so verify before you buy!! I was told my ralleys were 15x8 with 4.5 back spacing and after checking I found them to be 15x7 with 4" BS...

What DjD is trying to tell you is to tell us what your wheel size actually is then we can probably come up with something for you that somebody has tried and knows fits!!
15" x ??", ??" backspace is what we need to know... pdq67

Checking your backspacing is easy just pull
the wheel off lay it down with the backside
facing up take a straight edge lay it across
the rim only then measure from the area of the rim that meets the drum when mounted to the bottom of the straight edge this is the amount of backspace the rims you have currently have. Hope this helps you out some.

You could look into the drag radials in Summit's catalog. They have some fairly stock sizes.

What is your gear ratio?
YOu may want a taller or shorter slick depending on your ratio.
I would go with a set of 26"x8.5"x15 if you have a hight gear. that way you can take advantage of the shorter tire to help out your lack of good gears.
