Im new to this board so it this question has been asked, Im sorry.

I have a 69 Camaro with a stock rear subframe. The guy I bought it from told me the disc brake rear end was out of a 81 Firebird or Camaro, which I think is either 1/2" or and 1" wider per side. I have a set of Centerlines that are 10 1/2 wide from inside of bead to inside of bead. The guy that owns them said he thought they had 5 1/2 or 5 5 3/4 BS. Is it even worth trying ot bolt them on?? Modifying the lip isnt a big deal, I dont want to get into a rear frame work since the car is getting backhalved next winter.

Thanks
Kelly

I don't think that they will work. I have 9.5" TT2's. They are really close to the middle of the rear shocks. My backspacing is 4.5". Even if you move the shock mounts you may have some rubbing on the inner fenderwells. I would measure. Just take one wheel off, put a ruler or something flat against one hub and see what 5.5" looks like. Remember that your tire is going to be a little wider than your rim. In my case I left 1/4" clearance for the rim with the tire.
