I see that all 67 have 14" tires. Can you convert to 15"?
Thanks, Chris

Yeah, you can put pretty much any height of rim on there as long as it has the correct backspacing, width, and bolt pattern. I run 16'' rims on my '68 Camaro. 7'' wide up front, 8'' in back and 4.5'' backspacing on each.

With the 16" rims, what size tires? 50s/60s?

I got the 8" vette rally on my 67. The fronts scrape when I try to park but I need to put on some 7" rims on the fronts.

With 16's I'd say about a 55series.

I run the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 series tires. The rear are just a little taller than the front and it looks great.

boodlefoof, any pics of your car (showcasing your rims)? That's the exact combo I'm contemplating (though with the overused Torq-thrust II rims but I can't help it - I love them). thanks

I don't have any pics on line yet. I don't have a digital camera or a scanner, but I will try to get some pics on sometime. Right now they look good, but a little funny because I just replaced the suspension (with stock replacement stuff) and it now sits about 2 inches too high. Going with hotchkis suspension kit before too long. The rim and tire combo looks awesome though and I would definately recommend it.

JonT,

You can see a 16" x 8" x 4.5 bs rim with a 255-245/50/16 package on my website.

The 245 up front is very tight.
