In stead of repainting the black stips individually by hand, is there an easier way to repaint these?

I think I'll reply to my self. I just found out that you can use a black paint pen to repaint the inserts. It can be found at hobby shops or craft stores.

Why not tape off the chrome you don't want painted then spray them. It's easier to pull a straight line with 1/4" 3M then trying to paint a straight line by hand with a brush or pen...
