I have a 68 camaro and I'm putting the hotchkis suspesion on it so it will be dropped about 2 inches in the front and 1 1/2 inches in the rear. My question is, will "American Racing, torq thrust II's" fit in the 17x7 up front and 17x8 in the rear? How much backspacing and stuff is required? And what are the largest size tires I can put on them?

Also, on the front, will 16x8's fit? With what size tire(largest)? And how much backspacing?

I have 17's on my '67. Sorry, I don't have any pictures yet. The rears are 4.3/4 " bs (stock size) with BFG 255-50-17's KDWS. The fronts are 4.5" bs (non stock, custom order) with 235-45-17's (same style tire). My front has 2" lowered coils which dropped it down about 1 1/2". I curently don't get any rubbing, but it's close! Those stupid inner wells really restrict you. My car is otherwise bone-stock. A word of note: the 17's TT II's open spoke design make the rear drums look teeny and stupid. Unless you plan on putting some rear 12" or bigger disc's on, you might want to consider the 16"s.

I've got 16 TT`s with 235x60 front and back(4.5bs). The front rubs on tight corners, maybe 225x55 would be better.

I have 16x7 front and 16x8 rear with 225 and 255 rubber accordingly and have lots of room. This is with the stock height though... eventually I think I am going to Hotchkis route as well.

What kind of tires are you running? I haven't found many 60 series 16" tires.

they're(michelin) pilot XGT H4 235x60hr16. Got them from sears for around 125ea. But I also have replaced the front springs, w/stock springs and it looks like it's sitting kind of high. fits tight.
