I've been reading through some of the messages and haven't found anything on this tire size. Looking for some advice. I have the stock 15"x8" rear's and the 15"x7" front's. I need to put tires on them in the next month or so to get the car on the road. I was looking at the BFGoodrich Radial T/A P265/50R15 for the rear and P225/60R15 for the front. The tires are only .1 inch different in diameter so they should look good together, I'm just concerned about the room in the rear. I'm not sure about the backspacing on the rear wheels. Any help? Thanks in advance.

They say it is possible to get a 275 to fit, but you have to do it just right. Check out the FAQ section at www.detroitspeed.com (http://www.detroitspeed.com)

When I bought my 69 it came with 15x8.5 with 4.25" back spacing wheels. Up front it has 235/60 and rear 265/50. The front fit fine but the rears rubbed a bit on the outer fender lip. I just replaced the tires with the same size and trimmed the outer fender lip about 1/4 to 3/8" just at the top of the wheel well, about 12" long. I did not see the need to do the entire lip because the interference only came from the upper portion of the fender.

Thanks for the help. I was a little more worried about them rubbing on the inner fender. I put a set of air shocks on and I don't think that the outside will be too much of a problem. I'm not going to jack up the back very high, I just needed to stiffen up the mono leaf a little unil I pay a visit to Mr. Hotchkis next year. Thanks again!
