I'd like to pick up a set of beat rims and tires to put on the car while I do my resto.

What size rims/tires should I look for at a yard?

Most any steel wheel 14 or 15 inch off of most older GM cars will work if you have a 1st thru 3rd generation Camaro.Just be sure they have 4.3/4 bolt pattern.
