3 3/4 is correct for the 15x7, but I think you want 4 1/2 when running the 15x8. I am certain you will find more info on this if you do a search, but this is what I have heard.

Most GM 15x7 ralleys have a 4" back space.

You probably won't be happy with the 15X8 and 3.75" bs. 4.5-4.75 is MUCH better. A friend just put 15X8's with the 3.75 bs and had to roll the fenderwell a lot to keep the tire from scraping. It clears now but doesn't look as good as it should as the wheel/tire is too close to the outside of the car. I have 17X9.5" wheels with 5.75" bs and they tuck in much nicer than his; didn't have to trim the wheelwell either.

Thanx all!! Wheels are avaible with different backspace?? When i order i got to say the backspace that i want? So if i've understood 15x7 on 225/60 with 3,75 is ok and rear 255/60 with 15x8 with 4,5? or more?
thanx

Anything less than 4" back spacing on a 15x7 is a waste of wheel well space...

255/60 15 on a 15x8 probably would fit best with 4.5 bckspc. I have this tire size on my 69 with 15x8.5 and 4.875 bckspcing with a little rub on inner wheelwells in certain situations. The tires I have are slightly fatter than most other 255/60 15s.
