I'm running a BF Goodrich 275/50/16 Comp TA VR4 but I don't see it listed on their website. They list a Radial TA 295/50/16 if you can squeeze it in. I have noticed that after I bought my 16" rims that they don't make a lot of fat tires to fit them. I'm considering going to 17" rims. Just saw a 275/65/16 Radial TA listed, 30.1" tall!
265/50/16 Radial TA 26.5" tall, section width is 10.9" on a 8.5" rim.

thanx for the info. it seems that another friend of mine is running the 275/50-16's on his lowered truck. he says that bfg is the only one that makes that size right now. and by the way tire rack comes up with a big NO MATCH FOUND again! but thanx anyway djd.

Have you thought of Falken tires? I can get you tires and/or wheels. The last set I got for a 67 Camaro, I beat the Tirerack on price.

I can also get BFG. The guy with the 67 was looking at Bridgestone but went with the Falkens for the price/look. He is running 16*8 and 16*7.

look into the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 series tires. I am running 255/50 rubber on 16'' rims and I seem to recall that they made 275/50. I remember that I was debating wether or not they would fit and I decided to pick the smaller 255s. This was two years ago though...
