I have a little question about american racing wheels, i have see that 15/7 and 15/8 is all avaible only with 3"11/16 backspace!!! So that isn't good on the rear if i have undertstood??? The rear is better with 4" 3/4....

Yes, with that backspace, your wheel will be extended outwards, which will contact the wheel well lip if your car sits low. You could jack up the rear, this is often done to be able to fit these sizes and back spacing, or you could roll up the lip (do a search on this, different methods have been discussed)or you could get a lower profile tire. As for the fronts, the same principles will apply. You can make anything work, but you're better off ordering something that will definitely fit.

What's on your car now?

Will you be able to trial fit these wheels, or do have to special order from U.S.A.?

Do you have your heart set on this particular style?

Are you sure that they aren't offered in a custom backspacing?

Take your time, make sure you know what you want as well as what will fit, make a 3/D template if you have to.

John,
thanx a lot
on my 68 now i've the original 14" with 205..i don't like it.. I've a pic of a 68' with americanracing outlaw 1 and i love how it look (i think that in the rear there is a 275 with 10" so the backspace is different for this size) I've see americanracing site and there aren't other size of backspace for 15x8, i've deicide for a 245/60/15 on rear for a secure antirubbing size, this 'cause i can't change wheels and tires if don't fits well, is a direct order to usa and shipping cost is very Expensive.. ok if outlaw isn't good for me i think about centerline autodrag 15x8,5 with 4"7/8 bs
215/60/15 with 3" 5/16
is ok ??
thanx
