I am running 15x7 Centerlines with 3.3125" bckspc and have some rubbing between outside edge of tire and wheelwell when steering wheel is at full lock. This is with both 235/60 15 tires and 225/60 15 [This message has been edited by my69gofast (edited 07-18-2001).] Sleepy-69 Jul 17th, 01, 06:30 AM I'm running 4.5 backspace on 7 inch rallys on one the 69's and periodically, the rears have some minor rubbing on the inside when for instance I encounter a driveway at an angle. It's tolerable though. I'm running 235-60-15 rear and 215-65-15 front. The fronts are no prob. I think the perfect 7 inch wheel for first gens would have 4 inch backspace. I too will be purchasing centerlines when I round up the pesos. One thing I've noticed is my choice for the rear wheel width is 7 or 8.5 (no 8's). Are you also telling me that my backspace option is limited to 4 7/8's? C'mon Centerline! my69gofast Jul 17th, 01, 10:41 PM 4 7/8 backspacing for 15x8.5" centerlines will work fine in back with any tire under 11" wide (measured on rim). I have this on my 69 now, with tire just a touch over 11" wide, and only rubbing I get is going up an incline at an angle as described in previous post. A slightly narrower tire or a few hammer blows to inner wheelwell would cure this. Outside of tire fits fine, no interference, and lip didnt have to be rolled.
