(reposted from another thread, which you probably did not see)
mr69-quick question about your wheel and tire combo -- very nice!
you said above that the rear wheels are 15x8 repro with 4 1/2" offset, and I see from your website that the tires are 245/60.
I was wondering if the fronts (7") were also repro, what offset, and most importantly, what size tire?
I will be running the same setup

many thanks, mr69!
for those that need to know http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif , mr69 is running repro rally's at all four corners, all with 4 1/2" bs. The fronts are 7", rears are 8". BFGoodRich Radial T/As with 235/60 front and 245/60 rear. Awesome!
I will probably go with almost the same, but with 225/60 up front, mostly due to the possibility of clearance problems with 235 width on 67-68 cars. (plus I have manual steering right now).

Thanks for the nice words awsm502. (I cut this text in from what i sent to Ken):
I deliberated a long time before i bought my wheels and tires. I must have read every post on
Camaros.net for research. I did not want the wheels to stick outside the fender well, and on a '69 they will rub, anyway.
In the end, i knew i wanted 15" wheels with 60 series tires and the original look of Rally's.
In back, i bought the 15x8 repro from NPD, with 4.5" backspace. I decided i would buy new repro, rather than find some orig,
used. I didnt want any vibration and balance problems.
Thats about the max b.s., although i think DJD bought some 4.75" backspace and made them work. NPD doesnt sell those, but
someone else might. I like the width of the 245's and since they fit with a little room to spare to the fender, i think its perfect.
I tried the 15x8's up front originally, based on other owners on Camaros.net that said they made it work, but the 15x8 rubbed. My car has a/c, ps and of course is a conv., which makes it a bit heavy, short of being a BB car. The springs are new stock spec, but
the car still sits a bit lower in front. I like the way it looks, but the 15x8's just didnt work in front.
So i ended up buying some 15x7's, 4.5" b.s. from NPD for the front. Being that i wanted the 245's in back because they were wider, i really didn't want 245's in front. It would just be too wide for the front, so i went with the 235's. They are about the widest
in my opion, that look good. The overall height difference from the front to back tires is 1/2", which isnt noticeable. If i had gone with 255's in back, i would have had a whole inch difference in height, which i thought was too much.
The repro rallys are fine, other that the gray color, which i need to paint silver to be correct in appearance. Also, i ended up using 15x7 trim rings on all fours. The Camaro trim ring has a reveal on the lip that differs from a Corvette 15x8 ring, and no one makes a repro ring in 15x8 that has the reveal o they would not have matched if i used the deeper rings on the back. The 15x7 ring looks fine and i am happy with it. I found some original rings at a junk yard and would suggest using GM if possible. I bought some aftermarket from Wheels Vintiques to start, and they were terrible! I could not even get one of them on! They were cheaply made and had a yellow hue to them. When i comes to trim rings go original GM! Try ebay and junkyards if $$ is a problem.
Some have said that they want to keep the tires the same on all fours so they can rotate the tires, etc. The way i look at it, my car is a weekend driver and i will have to replace the tires long before i put on enough miles to rotate. The reason is, the tires will dry rot if left on the car too long and should be replaced after 3 yrs. anyway. So at 1000 mi/year i would need to replace them in 3 years, so what the hell........they are pretty cheap overall ($70 BF Goodrich), compared to some high performance tires!
Anyway, this is what if have experience with the '69. Your's may be a bit different, since the body panels are different in '67-68, and the weight in front, but maybe not. Good luck with your car, keep me posted......

Thanks mr69!
Out of all the things I've done to my car over the years, picking new wheels and tires has been one of the more nerve racking.

mr69 this is the best answer i've heard in 3 months.Usually it's about 17 inches and up with rubber band tires.Save it for the RICERS!!!!!!!!Real Camaros run 14s and 15s.
