I just got my disc brake conversion from SSBC installed on my '68 Camaro! Looks great. Oh by the way, my 15" wheels they said would fit-don't fit. The caliper rubs against the inside of the wheel. I'm not mad though. I tild my wife that it's not my fault, I must buy new wheels. I have no choice. Here is the problem. I want 17 inch wheels. I would like to have 8inch up fromt and 9.5 in the back (but I am flexible). Backspacing seems to be the hot issue on the board these days. According to Jegs' website I can get the 17x8 with 4.75 in. BS and 17x9.5 with 6.5 in. BS. These are the ARE TT 2's 505 series. Will they rub something? What about other brands? Anyone send me the size and brand of tire/wheel that you have.

The only mods I have done are the:
SSBCPart Number A123-6
Wheel Size 15"
Rotor Size 12"
Piston Size 38mm
Number Of Pistons 2
Bolt Pattern 5 x 4-3/4"
12" rotors
Fits in 15" wheels
aluminum 2 piston calipers

The Eibach springs claim that they will lower the ride about 1 inch with my small block.

Help me please. This is harder than buying mutual funds!!!!

The rears won't come close to fitting unless you run a thick spacer.; the fronts are fine. With rear discs go about 5.5" backspacing on the rears. 5.75" is what I have but they rub slightly on the inside when hitting a driveway at an angle. Unfortunately both of these offsets are considered custom by American Racing and will cost additional. The best price I've found on the custom offsets is at http://www.wheelsforless.com/

on my 67 I put 17x9.5 wheels on all four corners with 5" b.s. 255/45/17's on the back, 225/45/17's on the front but I would recomend the 8" wheel on the front as the tire is going to fit better on the wheel. mine are stretched and I dislike the look of it enough that I'm about ready to order two 8" wheels, although they do fit and clear everything. I also have the ssbc front kit on mine.

67rsmoneypit,

What kind of wheels did you get?
