I just got my disc brake conversion from SSBC installed on my '68 Camaro! Looks great. Oh by the way, my 15" wheels they said would fit-don't fit. The caliper rubs against the inside of the wheel. I'm not mad though. I tild my wife that it's not my fault, I must buy new wheels. I have no choice. Here is the problem. I want 17 inch wheels. I would like to have 8inch up fromt and 9.5 in the back (but I am flexible). Backspacing seems to be the hot issue on the board these days. According to Jegs' website I can get the 17x8 with 4.75 in. BS and 17x9.5 with 6.5 in. BS. These are the ARE TT 2's 505 series. Will they rub something? What about other brands? Anyone send me the size and brand of tire/wheel that you have.
The only mods I have done are the:
SSBCPart Number A123-6
Wheel Size 15"
Rotor Size 12"
Piston Size 38mm
Number Of Pistons 2
Bolt Pattern 5 x 4-3/4"
12" rotors
Fits in 15" wheels
aluminum 2 piston calipers
The Eibach springs claim that they will lower the ride about 1 inch with my small block.
Help me please. This is harder than buying mutual funds!!!!
