Just mounted new TTII's on my 69, and thought I'd add my info to the database here, since I pretty much used this site exclusively to figure out what would fit.
I have installed 16x8 with 4.75" back spacing with 245-50-16(kumho ecsta) all the way around. The rear could have gone a little bigger but I wanted the same tires all the way around. The 4.75 put it just about dead center in the rear.
This size should also give me a little room to work with when I convert to disk brakes.
The fronts were a little more tricky, I had to grind about 1/16 off the outer tie-rod corners about 3/8 in len to avoid touching under full suspension travel. I also have the longer steering arms, the shorter ones would probably not have this issue.
So far I have had absolutely no rubbing anywhere, but my turning radius is greater then stock due to the '91 trans-am steering box I have installed.
I also have hotchkis springs front and rear so it sits lower then stock.
thanks to everyone who has posted info on this subject here, I read many, many posts before selecting the size, and it made a big difference.
