I want to put some 15" wheels on the back of my 67 Camaro. What is the biggest 15" wheel I can run with mild modifications. I've heard 10's would fit with the proper back spacing! Is this true? The quarters have been trimmed. I've heard there is a good base ball bat trick for rolling the fender lip as well.

You could fit a 14" wide rim on the back if your car sat high enough. I don't think a 10" wheel will fit very well if you car sits low at all, no matter what backspacing. I've seen some 275/60s on camaros before with 8" wheels.

I have 9.5"wide wheels on my 67 with 5" b.s. and they fit fine. a friend of mine has a 68 with 10" centerlines with 5.25" b.s. on a 15" wheel that he runs drag slicks - doesn't rub even when he launches. I used to have 15x8 with 275/50/15s that were close but they only rubbed when I hit a big bump and I never have rolled the fender lip. depends on your tire size a little more than the wheel width. it sounds like some cars are a little diff. than others, axle center to leaf etc. I have 255/45/17's that have plenty of room.

if you measure a 67/68 rear wheelwell you'll see it's 11"wide inner lip to inner wheel house. if you measure from the drum (where wheel mounts) useing a straight edge, you have 5" to the inside and 6" to the outside ( or vice versa?).a 275/60/15 on a wheel of 8 or 8.5" measures approx. 28tall,by 10.5"wide (depending on manufacturer).now a wheel having 4-4.5" of B.S.will center everything up. this may not be true of ALL 67-68 Camaros, but if you want the tire/wheel combo. in the wheelwell; thats the biggest that will fit. Also plus sizeing 16-20" wheels will not be the norm.
