I haven't even thought about what I'm going to put on my 68 when I get it running again but I ran across these in the local area:

15"x7" Rally wheels with 235/60/15 BFG tires. Centercaps and beauty rings included.

Will these work on stock 68 with disc/drum? I understand they are for a Chevelle. Do they look like what would have been put on a real car http://www.camaros.net/forum/wink.gif

235'S on the front will be very close to the rear of inner guard with some lock on - I have 225's and there is probably only about 1" clearance.
You might get away with it.

Sorry, what do you mean by "with some lock on". I'll probably say "duh" once you tell me.

So what I need to worry about is when the front wheels are turned as far as they will go, if the back side will rub against the rear of the wheel well? He has offered to bring one over and we can put it on but I'm not ready to drive the car yet (the engines not even in it) Will that be a valid test or will everything change so much I won't be able to tell until I'm drivable?
Also he said they have been of a 74 Nova with no problems and that they have 3.5" offset. Any problem in the rear?

i have the same set-up on my 67, and they rub when turned to the left and right.

No problem at the rear with them - why not get them anyway and if they will not clear at the front fit 225/60's to the front and have a spare pair of 235's for the rear?
Probably get a good idea if you have a clearance problem even if the engine is not in as long as the weight of the car is on it
