has anyone tryed 245 60 15 on the front of their 69 Camaro on the factory 15x7 rally with stock 4 1/4" BS.
How much clearance is there? ,how close to fender lip trim?

I have that combo. No problem with fitment but my car might be sitting a bit higher. E-mail me if you want pics or a specific measurement.

235 60 15's seem to be the widest 60 series safely used at stock height. Some here have had problems though. 15 x 7 with 4" bs is what a chev ralley would have not 4 1/4" if I recall correctly.

Dennis has it exactly right, do a search on the subject, it's been beaten to death. The consensus seems to be 235/60/15 front, 255/60/15 rear, which is what I run on my 69, that's with a newly rebuilt suspension. Some say 275 or even 295s are possible in the rear, especially with some serious air shocks.......KZ

FYI , I have very carefully & properly measured my BS , it is exactly 4 1/4" , and yes I do know where & how to take the BS measurement from, done stock as well as custom work with Wheel Vintiques. I think these 15x7 rallys origionally came off a MontiCarlo.

Just trying to help Doug!! Nobody questioned your ability. What code is on your wheels? AD's and YH's Came on '69 Z28's and were 4" BS... FW's seem to be the most common ralley and was on early 70's Chevelles and Monte Carlos and is also 4" BS. I have a set of FW's in the garage and just measured them!!

I'm running 245 60 15 on my '68 with 15 x 8 off-set american mags and they rub alittle on the back of the front fenderwell. I think if I could get it a .5 inch back it wouldn't scrub.

Don't think it will happen with those wheels unless you roll the fender lips and possibly raise the car all around.

I have 225/60/15 in the front and 255 in the back.
This is a good combo, BTW what tire are you planning to use. BFG RAd. T/A are popular BUT I hear they suck in rain.
