Recently I replaced the front springs in my 68 with stock small block springs. The ones in their previously had been cut and had the stock oil pan sitting about 3/4" off of the ground. The car sits fine now except that the bottoms of the front wheels are pointed inwards. They appear to be at about a 10 degree slant. Any ideas on what I did wrong, when the car is up in the air the wheels appear to sit straight up and down?!?!
Thanks in Advance,
Steve

I'm not sure why they look straighter when the car is in the air, but when you replaced the springs it should have raised the car. As the car sits higher it will tilt the top of the tires out and the bottoms in. When you lower the car(like cutting the springs) it will do the opposite.
It sounds normal to me. You now need to get the car aligned to get the camber back where it belongs (tilt of the wheel/tire when viewed from the front of the car).

Well I guess when I take it in for the alignment I'll ask the folks at the shop about it. The wheels seem to tilt in a lot more than stock. - Steve

They probably do. The reason is it was aligned for the lower height. Once it's re-aligned for the higher height it won't do that anymore.
