I want to buy a set of rims and BF Goodrich drag radials for an upcoming foray to the strip. I have a 67 Camaro ,healthy 383, 4 speed Muncie, 3:73 12 bolt Posi, Cal-Trac traction bars and subframe connectors. I read a post somwhere that P275/60R15 tires with a 15x8.5 inch rim with 4 7/8inch back spacing is max with an otherwise stock setup. I was thinking of some wheel vintique rally rims to mount these on and they seem to be available in 4 1/2 or 5 inch backspacing. Any thoughts or suggestions on this or other combinations would be welcome. Dana

I've run 275/50r15 drag radials on the wheel vintiques 15x8's w/4.5" backspace on my 68 no problems-- I didn't do 275/60r15's since they were a bit big in dia-- (I'm lowered a little, so a 27-27.5" tire is about as big as I can go)

A 8 or 8.5" wheel with 4.5"B.S. will be fine.
